VENUE

City & Location

Antonianum

The recent restoration has given back to Rome a multifunctional structure in the heart of the city centre, where a variety of spaces of different shapes and seating capacities are available for meetings, courses, conferences, exhibitions, and very import events as the HbbTv Symposium 2017.

Tall ceilings, large windows that can be dimmed with automated curtains, well-lit spaces and accessibility for the disabled are the special features of the Antonianum that guarantee success and quality for events of all types.

Auditorium

Seating capacity 572 (parterre 460, balcony 112)
Parterre = 560 sq. metres
Balcony = 205 sq. metres
Stage = 57 sq. metres

The Auditorium is the largest space, with seating capacity for 572 persons, and is ideal for HHbbTv Symposium needing to exploit its excellent acoustics, without even the slightest trace of reverberation.

The hall is panelled throughout with undulating slats of chestnut, with walnut bench seats, all produced by Franciscan friars who are master carpenters.

Backstage facilities provided for events held in the Auditorium, which can be coordinated from the modern and functional control booth, include two large symmetrically arranged foyers, dressing rooms for delegatess and speakers, and a lounge.

A practical press room is also available, seating up to 20 persons in a reserved and confortable setting.

Accessibility for the disabled is guaranteed by barrier-free routes both to seating places and towards the stage for speakers.
